Jon, don't feel bad. the first bike i had was a Honda XR 100 dirt bike.
the first day i had it, my dad took me to his parents farm to let me ride.
Within the first 30 minutes, a damn cat run out in front of me from behind a barn!
Needless to say, I immediately grabbed for the front brakes and of course you should guess what happened... right over the handle bars!!!!!
the bike's tail end flipped up over me...then end over end....
All of this in front of 5 people, who of course were laughing their butts off...
I learned two important rules that day - one don't lock up the front brake./
and secondly, hit the damn cat!!!!!
Heard they make good burgers on the grill:)
